There are days when you are on the water when you realize you shouldn't be there.  Out there in a small kayak or canoe alone or maybe with a friend.  You know the sun was perfect just ten minutes ago when you started out from shore.  Then  suddenly the wind picks up and the waves start to churn and as scary as this is, in your artist's heart you know this is truly why you had to be here. 

     Life is much like this.  Many times we find ourselves in places we had no intention of every being in.  Sometimes we are there because we had to experience the situation or to meet a certain special person.  Sometimes we are there to learn a lesson that we will need to remember at later date.  For me, when I am on the water, my lessons come down to the color and the movement, the wind and the waves.
